An Eventful Race in Calabogie

After qualifying on the second row of the grid for the Radical Canada Cup race of the Ted Powell Memorial Races at Calabogie Motorsports Park, Daniel Earle had an eventful race that saw him gain, lose, and regain multiple positions, eventually bringing the Team Earle #39 Camp Ooch Radical SR3 home in a disappointing 6th place.

"We had really good pace on new tires and qualified the car in 4th position with more speed left in the car for the race. I got a good jump at the start, but failed to defend the inside into Turn 2 and lost a position to the #98 of Greg Boland. I was able to reclaim that spot on the front straight some laps later after getting a better launch out of the final turn."

"However, that proved to be the high point as I got stuck behind the #80 of Robert Calisi, a notoriously strong defender, for several frustrating laps, losing a place to the hard-charging #61, and eventually spinning the car in the infamous Turn 8. I lost a few places there, but managed to re-pass a couple of the cars that got through before the finish."
